Some doctrines were very specialized and required teamwork, but when was well supported became over dominating monsters. The results in the survey found that a key reason why balance was also so difficult was because all the doctrines did not fall under a common design philosophy. About a year and a half ago a survey was released to test a hypothesis on why the balance was always so volatile. For those of you just finding out about these changes and the "beta" now, here's a quick catch up:įor years BK has had a lot of trouble staying balanced between Axis and Allies. They take the numbers game of the Americans and just go to the extreme.Īs you can see, so much of the design of these two factions is based on the original CoH game play that to put them into BK would do both mods the deservice of being diluted.Almost a year has passed since we've embarked on a project that would fundamentally change the mod.

They are kinda like the opposite of the Panzer Elite. The Soviets on the other hand are more based on the idea of numbers and end game brute force. I guess you could say they are the offensive to the Whermachts defensive characteristic. They are kinda like the opposite of the British. The Ostheer as a faction is based on convergent power taking the idea of combined arms to an extreme. We also hope to work on making the Ostheer a more "defined" force. The new patch coming out in 2015 Q1 will fix the lag, and bugs. So while we may gain a few players, we would also be alienating our original fan base.Įastern Front is suppose to be like an unofficial expansion, and trust me, we are aware the mod has come kinks in it.

You also must consider not everyone enjoys the hyper realism of BK. It also contains many of the units the Ostheer already use to a certain to degree. I think the reason they won't combine is because the developers have two very different visions for the modsīlitzkrieg is based around realistic warfare similar to the men of war series.
